Hi, I’m Abby.

I’m from Seattle, Washington (go Hawks), I’m a Libra, and my favorite color is purple. I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my partner, Joshua, and our two fluffy sons, Pepper Jack (orange tabby) and Smooch (lionhead bunny). I’ve been making music ever since I joined my school’s choir in second grade and fell in love with singing. That led me to join every choir I could, enroll in piano and voice lessons, and begin writing my own songs by the age of 10. I majored in songwriting at Berklee College of Music and moved down to Nashville in 2018.

I’ve got an EP, I will always have cocktail, and a single, “Holding On,” available to stream under my old artist name, ABBY J. I recently went back to using my real name as an artist because a) there were, like, four other Abby Js out there making music as well, and b) my Harmony teacher in college once told me I had a good stage name, and I refused to listen because I didn’t think anyone could pronounce my very Italian last name. Ultimately, I don’t care how you pronounce it, as long as you’re saying it, but I pronounce it Ana-stay-zee-o. Very Anglicized. My dad, Jon Anastasio, taught me to love music, and therefore, it only feels right to use our name for my work.

Another thing to know about me is that I’m an alcoholic in recovery. My disease caused me to place my passion on the back burner, but ever since I got sober on September 18, 2022, I’ve been itching to share my craft with y’all again, and I’ve assembled a crack team to help me do it. We’ve got music coming your way in 2026, and I really hope you love it.
